I was just curious if there is an option to pay ($$) for any of the items in the thwack store and/or to pay $$ for points to "purchase" items in the thwack store??

No, we cannot accept any form of currency for the items in the thwack Store. There are several ways you can earn points, though.
Participate in monthly missions - here is this month's mission:
Participate in a Ux session - earn between 500 and 2000 points depending on the session. You can contact for more information on how to participate.
Post in . You'll find instructions on that page.
Take a survey we're running this week for 250 points -
This should give you a good start towards getting the polo!

How often are the surveys and where can I get updates about them?
Hi lcoursy - There isn't a set schedule for when surveys open but they are posted to the Announcements section when available. I would suggesting following that area for updates.

All rewards are earned. No place else have I ever seen such reward for participation and insight that we would most likely provide to someone anyways, possibly at the water cooler. Here I get points, and a continual process of Leveling Up!
