Alerts Stop Working

Have a fairly recent install of NPM. Using just preconfigured alerts - mostly. Reboot the server - everything is fine for while. Alerts write to event list and/or get email as configured.

after a while this stops. no idea why. reboot the machine - all queued up events come flying in. works for a little while then stops.

no indication of any issue etc. thought it might be performance related because it's on an older machine. reinstalled to a much new, faster machine - same thing. new install, new database, etc.

any ideas? v.10.1

I suggest you open a support ticket for this bbechard, there have been some cases as well that the alerting engine stops and needs to restarted only for a temporary solution.

I'm reviewing support case logs and here are some suggestions I'm finding:

Do you have NPM 10.1.2 installed or at least 10.1 SP 1? Doing this may solve your problem. It is available in your customer portal if you are on active maintenance. See here for more info.
Enable debug logging and restart NetPerfmon. In some cases, alerts have started working again doing this.
Keep debug loggining enabled in case of a another occurrence.

Try these items. If they don't work, then open a support ticket. Please post the case number and any results back here to help the community.

I have the same issue for some alerts. I am at 10.1.1.SP1.

4 PE's and some are workgin fine while others not.

SW helped with the install.

Is there a fix to this? Some of our international clients are not very happy right now.
