Universal Device Poller - Citrix Sessions

Hi,

Wondering if someone can offer some advice.

We currently have a Poller setup to let us know how many sessions are currently connected to a Citrix server.

I have been asked to setup the same Poller on some more Citrix servers but when I added the poller in, it appears in Solarwinds but just says 'No Data'.

The Citrix servers that it works on are physical servers and the Citrix servers it needs setting up on are VMware.

Has anyone come across this issue before and know if anything additional needs configuring?

Let me know if there is any more information is required.

Andy,

If NPM is not currently monitoring your hosting VMware infrastructure, it will have limited insight beyond any individual VMware device. Add your VMware hosts to Orion NPM, and then tell us what you get with your Citrix UnDPs.

Hi Andy--

I have a couple of questions: What VMWare product are you using? Is NPM presently monitoring/aware of the VM?

We are using ESX VMWare and Solarwinds is not currently configured to "see" the VMware infrastructure that i'm aware of.

Sorry to necro such an old thread, but we have the same issue.

Are you saying the virtual servers need to be aware of there hosting machine for the UDP to work?

Currently our ESX servers are in Orion, but have not had credentials added so do not display what VM's they are hosting.
