SNMP vs WMI vs RPC

I'm curious to know what the majority of ipMonitor admins use when monitoring Windows Servers CPU, Memory, Hard Drive, etc...SNMP or WMI or RPC? I currenlty use SNMP for all monitors but I occasionly get the error "The response from the remote device does not adhere to protocl specifications" on random monitors. I'm considering swapping to WMI to see if this helps.

I use SNMP as well. I used to get those errors randomly but they have not happened in a long time now after upgrading to IPMon 9. WMI uses more resources so i stick with snmp since its lightweight.
