I've been using Soalrwinds NPM, NCM and APM for a few years now, however this is my first post here.
I've upgraded to v7 (with relatively little hassle, compared to some people on here), however I share some of the disappointment.
Previously I had NCM configured to import all Cisco and Juniper nodes (via SQL) on a daily basis, from NPM. As you know this has been superseded by the products sharing the same DB. As per the screenshot below I need to be able to group devices by "Vendor" and then by "Licensed in NCM" Since people have added devices since the upgrade and forgot to add them to NCM, which is now done at the time of addition to NPM.
I have raised a support ticket for this with Solarwinds, however I seem to be having difficulty in getting across this grouping issue.
If this can't be done (as I suspect it will be a future update) does anyone know if this can be achieved by an SQL query?
