Is there a way I can see if I am scanning to quickly or too slowly?
We currently scan every 2 hours but would like to increase this to the maximum but I need to know if it is overlapping.
Hi Napoleon,
tere is no such indicator in UI but you will be notified by Orion Event if your any (L2/L3) jobs were not completed on time. As the min. possible interval depends on many factors - Server performance, network size, complexity and configuration etc., its almost impossible to estimate what is a minimum however we have customers with even really big networks using the default 30 min polling interval. To find out what is the minimum, I would recommend to decrease the interval in several steps until you start seeing incomplete jobs.

Hi folks,
Is there any way to know whether the jobs have actually got processed or not? I m getting a notification stating UDT polling jobs are still running. Is this something to worry about?
Which version you are running please? There are different types of jobs ( L2 and L3 jobs, DNS, REL- active directory..). The best would be to open a support case so it can be investigated whether those didn't finish in time because of particular devices responding too slowly, or if it's something with the Orion..
I m running on UDT 3.2.2.
I have raised the case with Vendor. Will let u guys know what they reply.
Just got this sorted out 2 days back. Actually there were some polling jobs failing from one Polling engine. I got this information through a query. And then just gave a restart of that polling engine and all got cleared and now no error reported.
