Endpoint inventory

In using the trial version of Device Tracker I see that the information returned on a specific device is IP address, MAC address and host name. Can it or another tool provide the type of device attached like printer, PC, IP phone, etc.? It doesn't need to be specific but just a generic device type.

Unfortunately, UDT will not know what type of device. We are looking at adding support for mapping the MAC address to its OUI. This will provide some basic correlation to device type, but not 100%.
