Guys,
I have been tasked with setting up the following alerts for cisco routers in orion, i have set up a few basic alerts that are working, could someone provide template like alerts that i could put in my information, or point me in the right direction?
1. Fine tune ping latency monitoring to open a service desk ticket after 5 minutes of sustained high latency 150+ms. (Done, just need to focus in on routers with the name CR in the node name)
2. Fine tune utilization monitoring to open a service desk ticket after 5 minutes of sustained bandwidth utilization above 75% of the circuit capacity (done, just need to capture specific nodes with the name CR in the node name)
3. Create alerts based on router and MIB circuit interface discards. Open a ticket if X number of discards are generated per X interval
4. Have P1 alerts be generated that will provide data for items 1,2,3 above when any one of them trigger along with correlated “top talkers” and “top protocols” for that same period to provide the operations team with a succinct view into what is happening so that corrective actions can be taken immediately.
