Alert Question

We just bought EOC and effectively split up our Orion deployment so we could improve performance. One thing I didn't take into account was that Alerts would now come from two different Orion servers instead of EOC. I don't really have a problem with that for alerts that are emailed. The problem I have is that we have a GSM modem connected via Serial to one of the Orion servers to send SMS pages. I need a solution to be able to send alerts out that modem from both Orion servers. Anyone out there have a solution? Thanks, Jeff

I'm guessing the servers do not have access to the outside world since you are using a modem.

I don't know of a good way to do this without writing my own little app that handles alerts from two computers. You may want to ask in the Orion forum.

Actually we have access to the outside world and most alerts are sent out via email. We want something to monitor our internet connection and be able to alert us if it is down.
