Contact and Location Variables

Hello, i have an advanced alert configured to monitor various Cisco gear with a trigger and reset action to send an email when a node is down. In the email/page action in the message body have these two variables defined: ${Contact} and ${Location}. I assumed that these two variables would pull from the snmp-server contact and location definition in the Cisco IOS respectivley. However, when a receive the alert these two variables are always blank. Does anyone know how to get the correct system contact and location data from the device? this information will be extremely helpful to people receiving the alert.

Check on the node details page for one of these devices to see if that information is populated in Orion (Node Details) . If it is not, rediscover the device and see if it shows up.

Thanks Andy, that seems to be the issue. For some reason this data wasn't polled when the device was initially discovered. By rediscovering the data correctly shows on the Node details page and so far appears to be showing in the notifications as well.
