How to pull custom date(more than 30 days older) alerts using Orion Report Writer

Hi,

I am looking Alerts data which was triggered for a specific date range where date range is a bit older than 30 days, I believe in this case web based custom report will not work where I am looking forward to get it using Report Writer. Can someone help me out regarding the same.

You can get alert history reports in the Web Console easy enough; but for this situation your limiting factor is that the default retention of alert history is = to the event log, and that is 30 days.

Anything prior to 30 days just doesn't exist at this point. Going forward you can change the retention of your events table, but be cautious as it can impact SQL performance long term, depending on the size of your environment.

Settings > All Settings > Polling Settings
