I've been searching the forums for some time, and haven't really been able to find a specific answer to my question, so please excuse if this question has been asked in the past.
We're trying to accommodate monthly patching events into our SW managed environment - basically whenever we have a scheduled maintenance event and subsequent reboots, we get flooded with alerts.
I've seen several threads suggesting we manually unmanage devices, I've also seen threads suggesting to completely (and manually) disable all alerts during an event. Other suggestions is to add tags to the nodes and modify alert rules to handle maintenance events.
While these workarounds may work, it seems clumsy. I know having worked with other monitoring software, scheduled alert suppression seems to be a long standing native solution - it seems crazy SW doesn't offer this feature.
Or maybe it does and I'm just not seeing it? Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
