Two instance Orion - One Flow Storage Server

Hi,

I am looking for confirmation that this is not possible currently and whether this is something that could be added in the future.

Where more than one Orion installation can share a single Flow Storage server. For example currently I have a customer who has a single MS SQL Server and both Orion installations have NTA. In this setup to move up to v4, they will need to provision 2 further servers for the Flow Storage server function.

Interesting request. Indeed currently not possible, only using virtualization..

I'd have to agree with choly that it's not possible. The fastbit database, unlike SQL isn't going to be instance based, or offer the ability to create more than one database. As well, the systems probably would be unable to share the same database due the relational nature of SolarWinds software.
