NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA)
Truncate Table FlowStats
rlawsha
In the directions to upgrade from version 1 of NetFlow to version 2, there is a step labeled "Data Migration from Older NetFlow Traffic Analyzer Versions". In step 6 of that area it says to "Enter Truncate Table FlowStats in the dialog box".
Ok, I did that Then what? Do I hit enter? Did I click refresh? Do I just type that and thats it?
My upgrade worked but I was very confused by that step.

The correct steps to take after entering "truncate table flowstats" (disclaimer: will render flowstats data unrecoverable) is:
1. Confirm Read-Write radio button is selected.
2. Click refresh.

Is it required to run this tool with a user with System Administrator rights on the SQL server?

It will run with Orion credentials, so you don't need to worry about entering credentials.
