Unable to select drop-down in Trigger conditions

I am trying to create an alert, and when I get to the Trigger Conditions section, I am unable to select anything in any of the conditions. There is nothing in the first drop-down box:

I suspect something is not populating. I have tried copying existing Alerts, as well as creating brand new ones. The behavior is the same, across all browsers. My other admins get the same result on their machines as well.

This happened to me again yesterday. I logged into SW server. Open command prompt and type iisreset

That fixed it.

it's just happening to me out of the blue. It was working fine last Monday. I just reboot my NPM server to apply Windows updates.

The solarwinds information service is not up to date.

To resolve do the following:

Go to your Primary Solarwinds server.

Open Orion Service Manager

Shutdown Everything

Browse to C:\programdata\solarwinds\installers

or press Start and type %programdata% then browse

Double-click InformationService

Remove

the run the same and install, typical

Reboot

Call support and they will do it for you.

This issue happened again last week, and at the same time I had another ticket open with support related to another problem which support asked my to run the Configuration Wizard. I can see the drop downs again.

This problem rather mysteriously disappeared. My suspicion is that I may have either had too many tabs open to other alerts in mid-configuration, or I had some other unfinished alerts configs that were in a state of limbo. When I went back in at a later time, I was prompted to resume an unfinished alert. Once I cleared that out, all other alert config windows worked normally.

In my case, iireset did not work. I ran configuration wizard and if fixed it.
