Is there a way to export all of the virtual infrastructure data that is captured by VMAN and export it to Visio? I see that there is something similar that can be done with network topology.
Thank you,
Tim
So this concept has been a wishlist item of mine for years but time never allows me to get into the weeds with it.
About Connecting to Data in Visio | Microsoft Docs
You just need to hook visio into your orion db, could use the same account you use for orion to write to it or you can create your own service account if you like.
The tables for all the virtualization objects start with VIM_, you just need to trawl through there a bit to identify what kinds of objects you want to display and how you want to program visio to display them.
Presumably something like vcenters, datacenters, clusters, hosts, datastores, virtual machines.
Alternatively if you just need something really basic and quick you can just click the map tab on the left of node details for any virtual object in Orion and they show the relationships there in a pretty simple fashion

What data in particular? the names of entities and their relationships?
