Export of MIB from MIB Browser

Theres a frustrating problem with exporting any MIB information that I have started using heavily for the custom MIB poller in Orion, the problem is during the export I cannot do anything until the export has finished because the MIB browser\walk always forces focus back to the export dialog box.
It gets very frustrating when I'm trying to export a 3COM MIB that contains over 30000 records as I'm unable to use any other progamrs on my PC until it has finished the export.
Has anyone else come across this problem and or fixed it or got round it?
