How does IPAM query for the DNS of an IP address?

Hi,

I was testing IPAM and I was wondering how does it query for the DNS of an IP Address. In some of the IPs, the DNS shown in the IPAM is different from the actual computer name when i checked it on the PC itself. Can somebody help me out on this one?

DNS is resolved based on the IPAM server's DNS settings. From the IPAM server, can you succesfully resolve the addresses?
