We have large /21 subnets containing ranges of static and dynamic addresses. The gateway router is in the /21 network. The DHCP scope is randomly positioned, but generally in the middle of the /21 and only a relatively small portion of the /21 is within the DHCP scope.
To simplify use of the IPAM GUI in Orion, and to clearly identify the static and dynamic portions of the /21 network, I'd like to create nested subnets in each group, but don't see a way to do this. Here is what I want:
Corp Folder
> Central Corp Folder
>> Central Subnet Workstations /21
>>> Central Workstations Static1 /24
>>> Central Workstations DHCP /23
>>> Central Workstations Static2 /24
>> Central Subnet Voice /21
>>> Central Subnet Voice Static1 /24
>>> Central Subnet Voice DHCP /23
>>> Central Subnet Voice Static2 /24
>> Central Subnet Servers /21
>>> Central Subnet Servers Static1 /24
>>> Central Subnet Servers DHCP /23
>>> Central Subnet Servers Static2 /24
>> Central Subnet Protect /21
>>> Central Subnet Protect Static1 /24
>>> Central Subnet Protect DHCP /23
>>> Central Subnet Protect Static2 /24
> Remote Corp Folder
>> Remote Subnet Workstations /21
>>> Remote Workstations Static1 /24
>>> Remote Workstations DHCP /23
>>> Remote Workstations Static2 /24
>> Remote Subnet Voice /21
>>> Remote Subnet Voice Static1 /24
>>> Remote Subnet Voice DHCP /23
>>> Remote Subnet Voice Static2 /24
>> Remote Subnet Servers /21
>>> Remote Subnet Servers Static1 /24
>>> Remote Subnet Servers DHCP /23
>>> Remote Subnet Servers Static2 /24
>> Remote Subnet Protect /21
>>> Remote Subnet Protect Static1 /24
>>> Remote Subnet Protect DHCP /23
>>> Remote Subnet Protect Static2 /24
I hope this is possible and I don't have to submit a feature request.
