file modify time

Hello all. I'm evaluating ipMonitor and have found it does everything I need with only one exception.

I need a way to alert if a particular file has not been modified in a given amount of time. This would be used for some applications that generate log files, and I can tell if the application has hung when it has not made any entries in the log file.

I have seen the ability to alert if a file's modify time/date is changed, but unfortunately I need the opposite criteria. Fingers crossed that it can be done, as I have been extremely happy with ipMonitor in every other aspect.

sbarter, glad your evaluation is going well!   There isn't an out of the box monitor that does exactly what you're looking for, but you can use the External Process Monitor to call a vbscript that uses WMI to check if a files modify time/date is not changing.    Microsoft has a really cool tool called scriptomatic that can help you there:
