VOIP and Network Quality Manager - AXL & SFTP

I was hoping someone could provide some guidance on configuring the new features of VNQM. For the AXL credentials, do I just need to specify an account created within CUCM that is assigned to a user group that has the role of "Standard AXL API Access" or is there more to it? I've searched for documentation on configuring this and haven't found much.

Regarding SFTP, do I just need to configure another billing server in CUCM servicibility to export CDRs to? I was thinking of just sending them to the free SolarWinds SFTP server on our NPM box and then having VNQM delete the CDRs as they're imported. Any concerns with that plan?

Hello adamsjm,

you are right, for AXL you need account that has "Standard AXL API access" role assigned. If you then add/edit CCM in VNQM administration, you can use "Test" button in AXL section to verify that you have it set up correctly. If test passes, you have all you need for AXL to work in VNQM.

Regarding SFTP you are right as well, you just need to add another billing server configuration to CUCM so that it sends CDR files to it. You can use any SFTP server so SolarWinds SFTP will work just fine. If you want to poll also quality data such as Jitter, Latency and MOS, you need "Call Diagnostics" feature enabled on CUCM so that also CMR files are generated. I am setting this up for the first time and have configured AXL on CUCM for many applications but this app is not working. I have tested the AXL using https://<cucmIPaddress>:8443/axl and it works.

I have AXL username as orion-AXL and have tried alphanumeric passwords and really simple but I am not sure if there any issues with special characters for Orion.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

I'm having the same issue & just opened a support case.

After talking to support, VNQM does not support CUCM 11 at this time, which explains why I was receiving the error.

I will have to call and find out when this is expected to be supported. Did they indicate this to you?
