I want to delete some icons from the Imported list in Network Atlas. Where are they located so I can do this?
Thanks.
You are right with the Visio icon. The User Graphics folder has to be created manually, if it does not exist. It does not exist by default on a clean installation, and it may exist on machines where there was Map Maker (Orion 9.1) previously.
See thread
Summary:
The easiest way to do that is to find the pictures you want to delete and add ".del" extension to them (so for instance mypicture.gif is renamed to mypicture.gif.del). Then start Network Atlas and the pictures should be deleted from the database.
if you pasted the pictures right into map, the pictures are here:
c:\Documents and Settings\<account name>\Application Data\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\Maps\Orion\<orion server address>\NetObjects\Imported\
You may use thumbnails display mode in explorer to browse for the files you want to remove.
That seems not to have worked. I now have two copies of the icons I want to delete.
Next suggestion?
Are you sure you have the latest version of Network Atlas? We have confirmed that this works.
I have version 1.0.5.26.
By the way, my Orion database is on a separate server, but Network Atlas connects to "localhost" rather than the database server name. Why is this? When I try to designate the name of my DB server, it fails to find it.
