NetApp device monitoring

Why does selecting a component in the Universal Device Poller for a Network Appliance(NetApp) device cause the message, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" to pop up when selecting a disk, cpu, or other component? The poller is configured and working in the NPM web view using the Orion Web Console.

Monitoring of Netapp can be done using SNMP and a Universal Device Poller. Please see the below Thwack posts:

However, monitoring NAS (and SANs) is more a task for Storage Profiler - you can monitor arrays from many different vendors: NetApp, EMC, LSI, IBM, HP, Hitachi, etc. Pleasse see below as this may be of interest.

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Error usually occurs in the Universal Device Poller if the poller had an issue being added. I would recommend opening a Support Case to see what is exactly causing the issue. You may need to remove and readd either the Custom Poller or the Device to clear the error.
