We can use gMSA account in Solarwinds to monitor the WMI box

Hi,

As we are facing the service monitoring account locked issue in solarwinds, till time we havenot get luck to find the cause of issue, Even open the case with MS and SolarWinds,

As MS is using the gMSA account permission, Is it possible we can use this way to monitor the all WMI box.

Sorry bro, can't help here. gMSA is something I never heard of. Will need to dig a bit deeper and understand myself.

Here is better link that I have fond that explains its nature. It also has example of setting it up. Try it - might be worth it:

As for the locking out issues - I wonder what SolarWinds support is actually saying about it. It might be something that can potentially affect others as well. Keep this thread updated on how it progress

Hi, we have the same need - and want to use a gMSA for access to active directory.

I did a support case on this, but the replay was:

Unfortunately, this feature (Use Windows Managed Account for monitoring) is not available in our product at this moment.

I create a Feature Request for your request.

So I guess, it is now a feature-request .
