NTA Feature Request - NBAR Support

Requesting NBAR support be added to Orion NPM /NTA. This information exists in other competing product (ManageEngine) and should exist in NTA today!!

Just to clarify, we add functionality based on sufficient customer/market demand (versus whether or not competitor X or Y has a particular feature). So, we definitely appreciate you chiming in on this request.

Can you elaborate what you mean by NBAR? Are you looking to use NBAR to classify applications in your NetFlow data? Or do you want us to poll NBAR statistics from your devices? It's more likely that we'll do the former and not the latter.

I understand you can care less what other competitors are doing, but as people in the thread have mentioned ME's support for NBAR and the value it brings, it should be considered. I've many peers that have NMP, but are using ME's NetFlow Analyzer strictly because of Solarwind's lack of support for NBAR.

NBAR is definitely being considered here at SolarWinds, I really appreciate the fact that you brought this up on the forum again. It is has been long discussed and is currently the #1 most voted feature request in the Idea's and Feature Request section. Your feedback is valued and we are listening. The requests for NBAR support have certainly become more frequent over the past 4 or 5 years. Please make sure that you visit the linked section above and up-vote existing or create new idea's / features requests.
