Custom Report with Two OIDs

Hello,

I am fairly new to SolarWinds and trying to fix a problem that I am having. I have cisco gear and all of my switches are reporting but my FTD's are not. Their S/N is missing when a report is ran. I have created a duplicate copy to not interfere with my production report and I am working off the Dynamic Query Builder. Am I missing something? The OID in the parent condition is the entire table including my switches, the child OID is the the specific serial number for my FTD. I hope I explained this correctly.

Hello!

Sorry for the late reply but, I confirmed the UnDP is working and successfully collecting the Firepower serial number (FCZ2612R1J5) using OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11.9. The problem is that the serial number only appears in a separate Custom Table datasource; I'm trying to determine the best method to join the Custom Node Poller data back to my main Node inventory report so the serial number displays on the same row as the corresponding device. Since, I'm not too familiar with SWQL it's taking me a moment to figure out which way to go about it.

The issue you're running into is most likely the Row ID filter.

The OID you are polling (1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 / entPhysicalSerialNum) is a table object from the Cisco ENTITY-MIB. While standard Cisco Catalyst switches frequently keep the main chassis serial number on Row 1 or 9, Cisco Firepower/FTD appliances almost always index the chassis at a completely different Row ID (such as 1000, 1001, or another index depending on the hardware model).

Because your Dynamic Query Builder condition restricts results to Row ID = 1, Row ID = 9, or Row ID is empty, the FTD's serial number row is getting filtered out.

How to fix it:

* Find the FTD’s Row ID:* Open the Universal Device Poller (UnDP) application on your SolarWinds server (or test the node directly from the web console).
* Expand your poller, right-click the FTD node, and select Poll / MIB Walk on that OID to view all returned rows and their values.
* Note the specific Row ID that holds your FTD's chassis serial number.

* Update your Dynamic Query:* In your report query builder, add a new line under your OR condition for Row ID is equal to [Your FTD Row ID].
* Alternative trick: Temporarily remove the Row ID restriction entirely (or change it to Value is not empty) just to preview the report. That will show you all returned rows across all devices so you can spot which Row IDs you need to include.

* Verify Poller Assignment:* Double-check that the UnDP poller is assigned to your FTD nodes and that they have completed at least one polling cycle.
