I’ve been experimenting with another dashboard concept inside SolarWinds. This time, the particles have somewhere to live 🌍
Estate World brings sites, polling engines, nodes and mapped active alerts together on an interactive globe, with the ability to move from an estate overview into individual node details.
The video shows how you can explore the estate:
- Select a site to unfold its nodes into a selectable particle cloud.
- Select a poller to explore its assigned nodes, including those across different sites.
- Filter to nodes with mapped active alerts to narrow the displayed particles.
- Drag, rotate and zoom around the globe.
Each particle remains connected to its node record as the view changes.
This screenshot shows the node selection in more detail. Clicking a particle highlights it within the cloud and opens its reported status, CPU, memory, response time and packet loss in the inspection panel.
You can also inspect its mapped active alerts and open the original node or alert record directly in SolarWinds.
The geographic anchors represent configured site locations. The connecting lines are illustrative associations, rather than measured network paths or traffic.
