Hi All,
I Need to create JSon API Call for a Solarwinds SWQL Query which on a Solarwinds server in SWQL Studio which can be accessed from a PowerBI Dasboard how can i create it.
I have created a PowerShell script that is running and showing the output while running from Solarwinds Server However whenever am trying to access it from the outside of server from client network from where i usually access my SolarWinds but its still showing the error as "hmmm… can't reach the page." PS Script:
Import-Module SwisPowerShell
$swis = Connect-Swis
Get-SwisData $swis 'SELECT NodeID, Caption FROM Orion.Nodes'
API Token URL : https://xxxxxxxxxxx:17774/SolarWinds/InformationService/v3/Json/Query?query=SELECT%20Caption,%20NodeID%20from%20Orion.Nodes
Not Sure about the mgmt. I'll try for sql DB option
Why don't they want to give them access? Your SQL team could configure a read-only user, and probably even lock down what data / tables they have access to?
@stuartd , My mgmt is not allowing the powerBI team to directly access the Solarwinds DB
hence, they want us to use a API Call insted
I'd suggest you could start by reading the answers to your last very similar question.
