Cisco Firepower devices Supported Pollers for CPU and Memory.
- Are these Cisco Firepower devices fully supported by SolarWinds for CPU and Memory monitoring?
- What are the exact OIDs/Pollers that SolarWinds uses to collect CPU and Memory statistics from these Firepower devices?
- At the device level, which specific SNMP objects or commands are being considered to obtain the CPU and Memory values displayed in SolarWinds?
- CPU and Memory pollers show as Passing/Supported in Poller Checker. Can you confirm that these are the correct and officially supported pollers being used to collect CPU and Memory information from the Firepower devices?
- You indicated that certain legacy Cisco CPU OIDs are reported as Unsupported. Can you explicitly confirm whether the unsupported status of these legacy OIDs has no impact on the accuracy, completeness, or functionality of the CPU and Memory statistics currently displayed in SolarWinds?
- If alternative OIDs are being used instead of the legacy Cisco OIDs, please provide those OIDs along with the corresponding MIBs and explain how SolarWinds maps them to the CPU and Memory resources shown in the Orion web console.
At this stage, we need a clear confirmation rather than a general explanation of supported and unsupported OIDs.
Regarding the missing 2-minute samples in the database, I would appreciate clarification on how SolarWinds is calculating CPU and Memory statistics for these devices.
As the polling interval configured for the affected Firepower devices is 2 minutes, please find the screenshot below. my understanding is that SolarWinds should collect and store performance data at each polling cycle and then use those collected samples to calculate statistics such as Average, Minimum, Maximum, and Trend values.
However, if the 2-minute polling samples are not being stored in the database, I would like to understand:
- From where is SolarWinds retrieving the raw CPU and Memory data used to generate the displayed statistics?
- If the raw polling samples are not present, how are the calculated statistics being generated?
- During the data retention and aggregation process, how does SolarWinds roll data from detailed statistics tables into hourly/daily summary tables?
- Which source table is being used as the basis for these calculations?
- Can you explain the complete data flow with table names from SNMP polling → raw sample storage → statistical calculation → data aggregation?
