What are your go-to custom alerts in SolarWinds NPM?

I'm looking to improve proactive monitoring in SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM). Beyond the default alerts, what custom alerts have you found most valuable in production environments?

For example:

Interface utilization thresholds
Packet loss or latency
Node reboot detection
Hardware health (CPU, Memory, Temperature)
BGP or routing changes
Wireless access point issues

Which custom alerts have helped you identify problems before users noticed them? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and any best practices.

Custom alerts - depends not everything is proactive here:

Syslog to alert
SNMP Trap to alert

Generic ones which could be proactive, apart from the ones that you have mentioned:

Interface bandwidth alerts
Interface errors and discards alerts

If you have Cisco Stacks in your environment, then:

Stack Power Redundancy alerts
Stack Data Ring Issues alerts
Switch stack member lost

I'm on the Windows side of the house, so mine are more node down, cpu utilization, memory utilization, storage, etc… I do have packet loss and latency as options, but it seems to be the Network team that is more concerned with those.

Reboot detection was one of those things that was asked for, but with some environments having nightly reboots and during patch cycles, those got way too chatty.

The big ones for me are always the service/process monitors and if there are any specific files to check. They are great to have, but sometimes getting that information from the application teams can be difficult. I always love the,
