Hello Community Members,
We are exploring the possibility of monitoring Zscaler ZPA App Connectors within the SolarWinds platform and would appreciate your guidance on the supported monitoring options and best practices.
Current Requirement
We would like to monitor the operational health and status of Zscaler App Connectors and generate alerts for any service-impacting issues.
Monitoring Parameters Required
We are interested in monitoring the following metrics (if supported):
- App Connector availability/status (Connected / Disconnected)
- Health of App Connector groups
- CPU utilization
- Memory utilization
- Service Edge connectivity status
- Version/compliance status
- Redundancy status within App Connector groups
- Any other health metrics available through Zscaler
Queries
- Does SolarWinds provide any native integration for monitoring Zscaler ZPA App Connectors?
- Can App Connectors be monitored using:
- SNMP polling
- REST API polling
- Custom SAM script monitors
- Log Analyzer/Syslog integration
- Are there any SolarWinds templates, custom pollers, or documented integrations available for Zscaler ZPA?
- If direct monitoring is not supported, what would be the recommended SolarWinds architecture for monitoring App Connector health and generating alerts?
- Are there any published best practices or KB articles related to monitoring Zscaler components in SolarWinds?
Objective
Our objective is to integrate ZPA App Connector monitoring into SolarWinds to provide centralized visibility and proactive alerting for the NOC team.
Would appreciate any documentation, implementation guidance, or recommended approaches that can help us achieve this requirement.
Thank you for your assistance.
