Trying to setup LDAP

Hi! I am trying to setup LDAP (using 2026.2). I saw this setup page for the backend.

I still can't get it to work and it's probably something I am doing wrong.

Is there a way to see if Kiwi communication with LDAP is working properly?

Any logs we can look at?

Do users need to login with Domain\username format?

I presume you don't need to add the user to kiwi as well and it will just read it from the group?

You can check Kiwi Syslog NG platform logs from C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\KiwiSyslogService\logs.

For authentication:

DOMAIN\username should be valid in AD scenarios
user@domain may also work
if one format fails, test the other

I fixed it. I had to uncheck the validate server certificate box and it worked. My setup was very similar to the example to the url from above. Also, I just had to use my AD username when logging in. I did not have to prefix it with the domain name.
