Is there any option to set the time, for Log Rotation ?
It's done daily but there's not option to define "daily at 00:00" ?
Is there any option to get the statistics and "Log Rotation Success-Report" the way it was with the old version ?
The old version is much better for log rotation and archiving.
KIWI NG has trouble rotating bigger log files. We had to limit Log File size to 190MB and to archive every 4 hours.
With the old Version Log File Rotation and archiving is running with files greater 20GB and daily rotation was sufficient. There are no problems with big files, …

Kiwi NG has corrupted archive files, when packing fails. So it's not reliable for archiving, without manual daily checking. At least some error report, when packing fails should be included.

Thank you for the detailed feedback.

At this time, Kiwi Syslog Server NG does not support setting log rotation to a fixed local time such as “daily at 00:00.” Log rotation is currently based on file size or file age, and current guidance indicates the daily behavior is UTC-based rather than local-time based.

This particular feature was already logged as a feature request under CUST-113900 and will be reviewed by our product team.

Regarding large log files, I understand your concern. Although recent Kiwi NG releases include log rotation improvements for heavy-load environments, the current product still does not provide confirmed parity with legacy Kiwi behavior for very large daily log files in cases like the one you described. Based on your experience, this appears to be a current product gap versus the legacy version rather than a configuration-only difference.

I suggest you submit a feature request for this or kindly give us your SWID so we can submit on your behalf.
