NPM API call fails with message "A certificate is required to complete client authentication"

Has anyone else run across an issue with making API calls to solarwinds after the most recent windows updates. Everytime we attempt to make an API call to solarwinds anyone on our team recieves the following error message.

"A certificate is required to complete client authentication"

This issue seems to have started after the most recent windows updates. We are running npm 2026.1.1. We have never had this issue before even after updating to 2026.1.1.

How do you access the API? What authentication method do you use?

I doubt this is something with SolarWinds, can it be something with certificate chain/root trust or client-auth certificate binding after a Windows updates?
