Replacement for "Solarwinds Unmanage Task Editor"

Question

"Solarwinds Unmanage Task Editor" will soo, m be depreciate.

What Solarwinds will be the Equivatent replacement.

Use it a lot for blackout of nodes

it was the only way I could do a blackout between say…friday 15h00 to monday 7h00

What would be my other solution ?

@techno-reseau , I've created an item to remove this limit in the UI, internally tracked in OO-65344.

As a work-around, this value can be updated in the database.

There is a table called ScheduleTaskDefinitions. You'll want to make note of the FrequencyID column and the ID associated with the schedule you need to modify.

Then, when you look in the Frequency table, find the row with the FrequencyID. You can update the duration value as needed.

The caveat right now, is if you edit the schedule from the UI (any metadata properties about the schedule), it'll yell at you about being over 1440 minutes. So if there is something that needs to be modify at a later date you'll have to revert the duration, make the change, and then reapply the duration. Luckily, this does not affect node assignments to the schedule.

Shame… I see SWI fixed part of the problem with unmanaging nodes but not all of it from the GUI. And they seem to keep doing this…

* announce X is being deprecated
* launch Y as it's replacement but not all of the functionality of X.

I know we are now in a world of AI, but expecting everyone to have unlimited access to it or to be able to create an API script, is still not the way forward.
