How to create a time series chart for clients connected to Meraki WIFI APs

Hi Everyone,

I'm making a "Network health" style dashboard and I was able to create a KPI object to show how many clients are connected to our SSIDs but now I want ot make a time series chart to display a graph over a period of time showing hte number of clients connecting.

I created a new empty time series chart but it asks for a perf stack project. When I look in perfstack I can only choose my api for Meraki but nothing really seems to exist for creating my own SWQL queries similar to other object types.

I know in previous years these time series charts you could simply provide SWQL and that seems to have changed. I'd love any help here as this is a question from upper management about how frequently people are connecting throughout the day.

Hi @vinay.by,

Sorry for not seeing your response sooner. I just did check it does pull some useful but a lot of it looks to be massaged as its pulling "206" SSIDs (we have 3) and doubled our number of APs etc. This is useful though I'm going to go through and look at the dashboards as I didn't even realize this was a thing.

This isn't exactly what I'm looking for but it atleast gives me some useful ideas and such.

Hi @rotto923

I am sure SolarWinds released a new Wireless Summary dashboard, can you check one thing for me.

Go to Settings - Manage Dashboards and search for 'Wireless Monitoring' Summary - this should be a System Dashboard. Check if you have this in your instance. Should be there.

What I am not sure is (is this vendor specific to Cisco/Aruba and Not Meraki is something that I am not aware of), keep me posted.

The Top 10 tab or 'Wireless Monitoring - Top 10' provides something similar to what you are looking for.
