As of Q2 2026, SolarWinds has identified four critical vulnerabilities (CVSS 9.1) affecting Serv-U 15.5. These flaws, including Broken Access Control and Type Confusion, could allow an attacker to gain root access to your file server.

What you need to do:

Update Now: Ensure you are on version 15.5.4 or later.
Check Privileges: On Windows, verify Serv-U is running under a "least-privileged" service account to mitigate impact.
