SSH/RDP Connection Manager

I'm not sure if anyone else thinks this but I find Solarwinds lacking in many areas. Not being able to change the http to https on the node page is odd. Also it's 2026, time to change it to https anyway.

I use an RDP connection manager to access all of our Windows servers, works well. I also use mputty to connect to all of our linux system and network devices.

I think it's redundant to use those when we have Solarwinds monitoring all of our systems. Does anyone know of a way to create a page so I can one click RDP for windows systems and one click SSH to our linux devices. I don't want to go into nodes details and all of that nonsense. The funcionality should be there, surprised it doesn't have this right out of the box tbh.

Solarwinds is very browser oriented, and for some auditors who want to just be able to click on a link and have it open their preferred SSH tool rather than some funky HTML5 SSH client like Solarwinds uses, I created a simple resource that is just a simple link that a browser can open. It goes to "ssh://<IP ADDRESS>" and you then have to set up the browser to open those links in your particular client. EVE-NG has some very useful documentation on this, and even something called the "EVE-NG Client Side Pack" with stuff to easily set it up.

The basic concept should easily translate this to RDP usage also. Like the SSH, it will require minor registry modifications, but should work quite well…

There are also HTML5 gateways or proxies that would work also, but I don't think either of those approaches will use the actual RDP client, but instead do it in an HTML5 client. "Apache Guacamole" looks like it would work, or "FreeRDP-Webconnect". No idea how to actually integrate those, but they should work.
