Is SolarWinds support really this bad?

My company is looking to move from SevOne over to SolarWinds because the CIO has prior experience in SolarWinds. However, a former colleague of mine where he works just recently purchased SolarWinds and he has a terrible time with TAC support. He constantly complains about SolarWinds TAC support.

This has given me pause about switching from SevOne over to SolarWinds NPM/NTA.

Thoughts?

As with most companies, you have good experience and you have bad. If you are going for SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted, you are bounced up to advance support. There are further support packages with SolarWinds that you can go with, such as PSL2 which will allow you to have a named engineer to your account which will get to learn your environment and provide you with health checks and advice on how best to use the product.
