I see that the latest version of the WMI Providers (v1.171.210) is an EXE and not an MSI like it has been in the past. This isn't a problem other than I don't know the install switches for it and have been unable to find them. We deploy software using SCCM and a silent switch is needed. Anyone know it?
I did some quick tests using some common switches and found that /s worked to install the WMI providers silently. It would still be great to have some documentation on the new client.
Hi Todd,
Thanks for the update. We will also shortly be publishing the WMI providers in our 3rd Party Updates catalog so that they may be deployed like any of the other packages we offer.

I see the new WMI providers arrived and I published them to WSUS but they do not show up under third party updates. Shouldn't I see them there and be able to push them out that way? Am I missing something.
Thanks

Please verify that you have the update classification Tools enabled in the Products and Classifications dialog.
Also, be sure you have refreshed the Third Party Updates view.
If that still does not work, please send an email (and screen image, if possible) to www.solarwinds.com/customerportal and they will arrange a GoToMeeting session with you to isolate the cause of your problem.
