Getting RDP sessions to work via Mobile Admin

I wonder if I am just using it wrong or something, but I get error messages when trying to initiate RDP sessions through mobile admin.

the message I receive is error 2: the operation couldnt be completed (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 2) from the front screen after launching MA

When logged into the mobile admin server as a proplus user, the connection times out

Not sure what to try next. All the other things Ive tried work great.

Hi Derek,

Looks like an Apple device networking error. My guess is that the device and the MA client is making an HTTPS/SSL connection
back to internal network and to the Mobile Admin Server, so the perimeter firewall is blocking the RDP connection. If this is the case, setup the Mobile Admin Proxy Service to facilitate connections like RDP. There is a SolarWinds KB article for setting up the MA Proxy Service.

Another possibility is that there is a DNS issue of some kind when trying to RDP to a hostname. On the RDP connection settings page, you could change the hostname to the IP address for the target system.

This problem may occur if there is Apple hardware along the way and can be caused by:

The error code refers to lost HTTP connections, which " usually indicates a highly overloaded server."

Another Possible fix is to restart your WiFi network connection (router restart)

do you use MAC cloning in your network?
