Is this related to a service account or missing the privileges for the SQL Service account?

This is what I found for 3041 event id in case you are using SSMS for backup:

Summary

This is not a SolarWinds problem

It’s a SQL Server backup job misconfiguration

Caused by trying to BACKUP LOG on the model database

Fix by changing backup scope to “All User Databases”

SolarWinds is only reporting it

If a SQL backup job or maintenance plan is backing up all databases, exclude system databases.

What to do:

Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

Go to:

Management → Maintenance Plans

Edit the plan that includes transaction log backups

Change database selection from:

All databases

to:

All user databases

* This automatically excludes:

master

model

msdb

tempdb

Hi @itengineer

How is your DB being backed up? What are you using for backup.

I am not an expert on this, but I just searched for the event id 3041, looks like your backup mechanism is trying to take a backup model database. Ideally SolarWinds states this would not affect the application.

There are a few steps to fix this on internet. But I am not sure which would work for you. Check for event id 3041.
