We just tested SWIR and straight out of the gate we ran into a major brick wall and the suggested fix probably the worst suggestion I've ever heard.
Background, we use a common Incident Response product, we'll call 'PaDy' 😉
PaDy grants multiple means of communication. I can have as many phones #'s, SMS #'s & email address as I need to accomplish a successful notification. I can have it notify my desk phone, cell phone, my home phone, my wife's phone or the hotel phone that I'm staying at.., all in one notification rule and profile.
SWIR only allows 1 phone #, 1 SMS # & 1 email address and each can be used once. If I miss those notifications the incident will be escalated to the next in line.
When we called this out, the solution was to create multiple accounts for each user who has multiple communication options, seriously. We would go from 200 users in PaDy to almost 1K users in SWIR.
SolarWinds, please address this as this is a major deal breaker of us and I'm guessing a lot of potential customers.
