We are pleased to announce that Kiwi CatTools 2026.2 RC1 is now available, and we invite existing Kiwi CatTools users and everyone involved in automated network configuration backup management to try out the new generation of the product.
Kiwi CatTools 2026.2 RC1 represents the evolution of this well-known product. KCT has been updated with a .NET framework, providing superior performance and an enhanced user experience. KCT NG now integrates gRPC for secure communication with Windows Service.The legacy database has been replaced by SQLite. KCT 2026.2 employs the AES-256 algorithm for data encryption.
The new generation preserves everything users value about the legacy version, while enhancing performance, usability, and long-term scalability. You can expect the same core capabilities you rely on today with improvements that make configuration management easier and more efficient.

It is currently only available as a trial version with limited features; you are not able to activate the licensed version at this time. This RC is not an upgrade to the previously released version of Kiwi CatTools, and it must be installed separately.
