Installing on VM NTM

I have a virtual machine, and during the installation, near the end, I get the following message: "Service 'SolarWinds Network Topology Job Scheduler' (SWNTMJobSchedulerSRVC) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

But I am an administrator, and I am running it as administrator.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Suggested Resolution Steps (based on KB findings)

A consolidated fix path you can recommend to the customer:

1. Ensure they are running the latest NTM version (2.2.2.816) | Assuming they are on the latest build
Older builds have known service‑startup issues.

2. Re-run the installer as Administrator → choose “Repair” (have they tried this yet?)
This resolves broken Job Scheduler services.

3. Launch NTM using “Run as Administrator”
Fixes registry-access privilege errors.

4. Check the log file for registry access exceptions
File:
C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Network Topology Mapper\Logs\SolarWinds.Client.log

Look for:
“System.Security.SecurityException: Requested registry access is not allowed.”

5. Verify the ‘SolarWinds Network Topology Job Scheduler’ service
If it starts then stops → permissions or corrupted service installation.
