Can I setup an advanced alert based on the Statistic Warning Threshold ?

I have an APM component with the following warning and critical thresholds set on it:

I know I can create an alert that works off the component status of "Critical"

But how can I create a threshold condition like "Component Status is equal to Warning" ?

Hello,
APM database is case-insensitive by default so you can write "Warning" or "warning" or any other variant.

You should just be able to type Warning in the box and that should do it...

Yes, I can type "Warning" into the box. This brings up the following new questions:

1. Why does "Warning" not appear in the drop down list ?

2. Where is the drop down list generated from

    I think the following sql is used to generate the list:
        "select distinct componentstatus FROM Nodes INNER JOIN APM_AlertsAndReportsData ON (Nodes.NodeID = APM_AlertsAndReportsData.NodeId)"
    If that is the case, then the answer to question 1 is "Because there is no component currently in the Warning state".

3. Is "Warning" case-sensitive ?

Answer = yes. the sql shows (APM_AlertsAndReportsData.ComponentStatus = 'Warning')

4. Why does the interface allow such a non-intuitive feature as typing text in a drop down box ?

1-2. The drop-down items are populated with current values from the database. So if none of your devices are in warning, "warning" won't appear as a selectable item.

3. If the database is case-sensitive, it might be. I have to defer to Dev on that.

4. Because.. I don't have an answer for that either. I completely agree that it's non-intuitive, and you have a valid criticism.
