What issues might arise while upgrading Agent on Linux from 2020.2.6 to 2024.4.1?

Hello,

At last we are upgrading our systems to a more current version, and need to know of any caveats for the Linux agents.

We had upgraded a small environment and our Linux SA reported some "certificate" issues when running the upgrade manually. Unfortunately I didn't get exact wording or a screenshot.

Are there any known issues/concerns/planning to do for this upgrade before we proceed with our larger environments?

We haven't run into any issues upgrading the Linux agents. However, I would suggest that you disable Allow automatic agent updates under /Orion/AgentManagement/Admin/Settings.aspx BEFORE upgrading. Once the upgrade is complete, update a single Linux agent as a test/validation from the Manage Agents page. Select the Agent and click Update under More Actions. That way you can have control over the updates and also avoid issues with all agents at the same time.
