Category Options

In the Node Properties page there is the field for 'Category'. Service Now wants to poll this field to determine the hardware type. Currently there are only three options: Server, Network, and Other. Is there a way to add entries to this field (other than hacking the db?) I would like to add NAS and HOST at the very least.

Currently there are no good way of adding more categories.

I suggest you create some other field for ServiceNow integration. Either dynamically in the integration or with a Custom Property.

Hi Lofstrand. That was my response as well, but SNOW claims that making any changes to their stock queries make them unsupported going forward.

Hmm, ok. What type of integration are you using?
For CMDB data I have mainly worked with a SNOW MID server and there you write the SQL query towards SolarWinds yourself.
