How do I get VM Alarms and Events?

I have the vcenters pollings and I do not see any alarms or events coming in. The guide says vm event add on but I am not sure where to get that or install it. Is there something I need to tell our vmware team to enable. We have the vcenter polling vman. What do I need to check on my end and what do I need to tell the VMware team what they need to do.

Can you verify connectivity to the vCenter from the polling engine, check its current status in SolarWinds, and restart the polling engine if the status appears healthy

I tested 443 from poller to Vcenter and the staus is polling vman. I havent restarted the polling engine yet. Is there anything else I can validate before restarting the engine.
