UDT – Hostname and User not displayed

Hello,

I am using SolarWinds UDT with Juniper EX switches in Virtual Chassis.
Both switches have the same VLANs, SNMP configuration, firewall policies, and the PCs are AD-joined.

On one switch, UDT displays MAC, IP, hostname, and last used by user correctly.
On the other switch, UDT displays only MAC and IP, but hostname and user are not shown, even though DNS and DHCP are working correctly.

Is there any recommended workaround or official documentation about this behavior

Couple things to check. Make sure your ports are monitored, the easiest way to monitor them is via a discovery job. But, you can check if they are in Settings / UDT Settings / Manage Ports. You can see what is configured for UDT here and if its missing anything, add it using a discovery job.

You should also check to see the devices are managed correctly in "UDT Job Status" in the same settings area. Search by your switch, make sure at least "Layer-2" is configured if its a L2 switch, doesn't hurt to have "Layer-3" there also. On your routers you need to have the "Layer-3" configured though. Make sure they're polling ok and polled recently…
